The HF radio is good for long range communications but I use these VHF/UHF radios for more local connections.
@ronguest I too have been using my HT radio recently. Just purchased an MMDVM to try cross modes on repeaters. Should arrive later this week!
@Alligator I’ve been wanting to buy one. Which did you get? Unfortunately I will also need a HT with digital mode to use one. Mine is analog only.
