❄️ Snowing today... It's nice. One thing I don't really do anymore is actively check the weather. Each day brings a new surprise. You should try it. All I have is the temperature on my home screen that I often miss.

@vincent I never check the weather beyond looking out the window if I'm going out. I sometimes get caught out by rain or whatever but I like to live on the wild side.

@rknightuk @vincent I've stopped using a third-party app for this reason. Realised it was just an endless stream of data that I would check out of habit, with no practical benefit. Sometimes I do need to check — mostly because until recently we were not well equipped to deal with bad weather, and you don't fuck around with long-term health conditions — but it's a rare event, and for that the default app is just fine.

I actually am also looking at other ways to get the information, like in the good old pre-smartphone days. Currently considering getting a radio for the kitchen and establishing a routine of getting the day's weather in the morning.

@SimonWoods I love my radio for this.
