I might actually look at the suggested Threads accounts appearing on my insta feed if most weren’t either a story about someone in the wrong seat on a plane or how bad an Airbnb was. Sometimes it’s the person who has confused it for LinkedIn and is busy tooting their own horn as my Nan used to say.
@peterw I get bad vibes from Threads. I see some of the same folks who spoiled Twitter, and followed their audience to Threads. It seems to turn in a similar hellscape as all Meta projects, attracting the worst of humanity. Other than that, Meta seems rather hostile towards third-party developers, either by choice or necessity, or both.
@renevanbelzen I really only have a threads account as I have instagram. I have zero interest in anything suggested to me by the algorithm.
