Reading 200 pages of a book in two weeks is kinda depressing, especially because I was very interested in the subject. It’s how slow I read at my fastest, less than 15 pages a day. I’m not a book reader by any stretch of the imagination, nor a consumer of other media either 😖

@AlanGMarz The sad thing is that only ten years ago I read 40 pages an hour, in English (not my native language), easily 200 pages a day. My reading has worsened by neglect. Also, lending books in this country is not free (usually paid by government from taxes, from private individuals and businesses), as in almost all countries in the civilized world.

@AlanGMarz Not claiming you are, yet subvocalizing (reading words under the breath) is one of the symptoms of decreased literacy, and certainly of slowness in reading.
