I had no idea there’s such a thing as creative non-fiction, IOW, fact-based storytelling with a more personal narrative. Examples are memoirs, personal essays, biographies, literary criticism, literary journalism. Personal essays are to memoirs what short stories are to novels.

@renevanbelzen I’m reading a preparedness book called “I tilfelle dommedag” (In case of doomsday), right now. I wonder if that one qualifies as creative non-fiction, because it uses a lot of humor and parables and such to get the point across.

@odd Well the point of CNF is to grab the reader's attention, so, like in fiction, there's no prescribed way to write, other than not to bore the reader.
