I don’t see the point of ARKit unless Apple has a pair of glasses coming. None of the uses make sense to me so long as you’re viewing it on a screen you hold in your hands.

@mikedotfm I'll admit that one grew on me as it went on but even then, my dominant thought was that if these were glasses, Apple would sell hundreds of millions.

@mikedotfm Ah, see, that's exactly the thing: I think if you take every single demo and imagine it being done with glasses (no other changes) it's an instant purchase.

@pyrmont I totally think they are working on the glasses behind the scenes, while pushing the software forward on the phones, that way there are apps and software complete before the glasses come out.

@EddieHinkle Yep, that's my take, too. I'll be disappointed if that isn't how it works out, though, because as excited as I am about Apple's AT glass is the exact inverse of how unexcited I am about AR on phones and tablets.
