Wow. I expect it from Amazon but I’m shocked that Apple shows pre-roll ads at the beginning of Apple TV Originals. Really gauche.

@pyrmont Have you seen the iTunes Store? Those pre-roll ads aren't even the lower end of Apple's tasteless behaviour.

@pyrmont Oh yeah, good point. I think it reflects the larger reality that their transition into services -- just like every other mega-corp -- has coincided with their seeming comfort in dropping certain standards. I still think they're better than most but that's not saying much.

@simonwoods Yeah, very much agree. I've been using the app more over the past couple of days and it hasn't done it again so maybe, as you say, they're better than most companies with how they do it but I don't think it should be happening at all.
