The recent #BishopAirportFire ran south along the Owens River, reducing the trees to black skeletons. But the grasses, with the ash of ancestors on the ground and water at their roots, are having a party.

@cliffordbeshers yeah those grasses look healthy. I canceled my weekend Yosemite trip to keep my distance from the fire there. I have a Lake Tahoe trip coming this weekend that I'm hoping I can move forward on.

@ptrck I need to get back to putting filters on m swamp cooler. We had some houses burn down in Bishop last week. I don't think things are going to get better for a while.

@cliffordbeshers I don't know if this is a series of fires (==bad) or if it's one of once-in-awhile fires that is good for nature. The photo is quite nice and I like the contrast.
