@ChangelingMx when I changed jobs (last year) I wanted that separation (not had during previous job) and opted to have two phones. I like it but yes, I can see your point with focus modes, and can see that helping a lot. Like setting “office hours” for different apps/notifications.
@ptrck I actually have the means to use two phones and did that for awhile, but it just got to be complicated carrying 2 things around with me and all the cables. That is lessened now with wireless charging, but I’ll try this for now.
@ptrck And a lot of people won’t be able to have two phones if there job doesn’t provide it, so focuses and/or digital well being could help everyone.
@ChangelingMx you’re absolutely right. I think it’s a good feature to help with that separation. Frankly I hate the two devices thing but I like the separation more so I deal with it. But yes, I’m fortunate to be able to have that ability in the first place.
@ptrck It could also go a step further, and be used to set boundaries for some social situations where being totally not involved may not be an option, but gives the user control of when and how that interaction happens so they can pick up their dvice without worrying about seeing something they weren’t in a place to deal with.
@ChangelingMx interesting. You’ve piqued my interest in it. I knew about it but didn’t really implement it on my own device. I’m going to set aside some time to explore focus mode this afternoon. Thanks!
