Skimming some tweets about Jack Dorsey, there is a lot of confusion about what Bluesky is. Most people are stuck into thinking about social network silos, where you jump from platform to platform. As Facebook and Twitter stumble, the future is more distributed and IndieWeb-ified.

@manton Would be great to see more renewed interest towards IndieWeb concepts, as it felt that most gave up some years ago (as the learning curve to get things usable was too much for even lot of experienced developers). Easier plugins to existing blogging tools etc. would make it increasingly popular approach for regular web publishers.

@manton I couldn’t agree more 👌Now is the time to think about “social media” as being decentralized like it should have been and was way back when 😆

@autiomaa I think what we’ve done over at Yarn.social has worked well and is much easier to adopt and develop for (based on Twtxt) 👌

@prologic Oh, that looks interesting. You might want to add example snippet of the file structure to the website front page, because had to look around from the specification for it. Also, spec link might be good to have on the top navigation section, as it would directly tell visitors what the project is about. Good choices for the tools overall. I'll look how it could be used with Eleventy RSS feeds... 👍

@prologic That looks much more understandable now. :) Hopefully that gives people better motivation to start using the idea in practice.

Also looked at your personal twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt. message log, and it reminds of traditional IRC logs. Not sure if you ever used IRC, but there are a lot of similarities visually (on the file structure, at least).
