OMG! 😱 Amazon AWS really really sucks. How do you build such complex monstrosities of a website that just are hard to use and inaccessible? I’m trying to login to my AWS account (root account) so I can go spin up some EC2 instances for work (@netdata) for an issue I’m working on and I can’t login, It insists I have to create a new account, when I do it claims the email address is already in use! D’uh I have an account damnit! So let’s contact support, fill in the form, hit Submit, BOOM a random page, message => /dev/null 🤬 twtxt.net

@prologic It's trying to remind you that using the root account is a bad idea generally.

@mcg that may very well be true, but I'm trying to login to my account in the first place so I can see what I have! I haven't used AWS itself in years, I prefer simpler things! AWS is too complicated to far too many services! “Feature fatigue”.

@prologic Totally agree. You really have to need what AWS offers to deal with the complexity.

@mcg Which ultimately if you choose not to use any of their “convenient infra services”, say because you want to remain vendor neutral; that's basically just virtual machines right? So you may as well use some other random Cloud 🤣
