What email alias, if any, do you use for your professional contacts? work@domain.com seems a little on the nose. professional@domain.com is a bit too long. I’m looking for something fun yet professional sounding. I work in education research so wondering if I should use that.

@maique My first choice was firstname@domain.com but my domain is FirstnameLastname.com so it gets kinda repetitive.

@pratik I use contact@domain.com for public use and shift to something more personal once I’ve got a working relationship with someone.

@pratik Usually, yes. I tend to have more tech-savvy contacts, though.

@pratik For my business I use addresses related to the topic: support@..., sales@..., dev@..., etc, and a generic info@... for other stuff. If you want something more informal, I've seen people (and companies) use hello@....

@pratik Probably go for the reverse of firstnamelastname@hey.com, so that would be hey@firstnamelastname.com. This would probably fall in line with the Hey bubble burst. :P

@pratik As someone trying to keep the corporate speak on the the lite side, I just use hello at company.com.

@pratik Hello is my go to email local for a long time. So much so that I couldn't find a protonmail local of my choice so I just went with hello(there!)chaitanya. (Because of Obi-Wan)

@pratik Hehe no, but confusion bonus: in German we say »Büro«, which is often transformed to »Buero« to get rid of the Umlaut for internet contexts. So nobody knows how to spell “bureau” when I tell them my Email address!

@chaitanya Nice. Plus is a common Indian name so have to act quick to get it. I know I had to ward off hajjar namesakes to get my domain. I still get email intended for them.
