Manuel Moreale’s recent post on Celebrating Failure resonated with me. I’ve read it a few times now. "You can ingest only so many success stories before starting to feel bad for not being one of them. Itâs partly why social media mostly sucks. Itâs performative. @crossingthethreshold This is partly why I find Discover unusable, it’s too sterile for my tastes, too upbeat and doesn’t reflect reality.

@crossingthethreshold I'm trying to have a stream of consciousness type of blogging. So my posts on a particular day will reflect my state of mind on that day. Or at least I try to. Of course, I try to keep personal details out.

@crossingthethreshold it's interesting to see this because sometimes I stop myself from blogging / posting my writings because it's not as upbeat as everyone else's, and I don't want to be such a downer or rain on anyone's parade.
