Has anyone heard of Hardcover.app for tracking books? Visually, it has the Letterboxd vibe.

It’s a relatively new site and total revenue for December 2023 was only $520. It’s a paid service and I’m not planning on adding one more subscription but I’m keeping an eye on it 📚

@pratik I heard about them, even created an account while looking for a Goodreads alternative aometime ago. but I didn’t subscribe for the same reason — adding yet another subscription. I ended up settling with Literal.club.

@danielsantos I’ve been using StoryGraph in parallel with GoodReads where most of my friends are and Micro.blog. I might start using this as a replacement.

@pratik StoryGraph is also very nice, I tried it in the past too… just ended up using Literal.club, found it a nice app. Do you know if StoryGraph has RSS feeds that could be cross-posted to Micro.blog?

@pratik @danielsantos @DaveyCraney This looks really nice. Last year I started using BookWyrm and Storygraph in addition to Goodreads and posting on Mb. I decided to stop using Storygraph and now just mirror GR and BW. For me book tracking is about the social aspect: I want to see what my friends and peers are reading! They are my algo. This makes me think a reading app should be built on top of AP or ATP. I have put years into Goodreads and Letterboxd. I would like to get my stuff out of silos!
