Outlining and Bike

Dr. Drang neatly breaks down why Outlining - that he loves - somehow doesn’t do what he wants. He nails my thoughts.

Glad its not just me!

@JohnPhilpin What's funny is I've been relieved to have found Bike, and especially that it's basic functionality is free. I use outlining as a form of note-taking for certain types of work; the vast majority of good ideas for TIL all started in an outliner... my brain works in lists, apparently.

As for writing and automations... meh. Maybe I lack the requisite experience but I've always found the manual methods of old to work best; I write, then I edit. Shuffling words about with automated methods has yet to appeal to me. That's probably a function of time, though.

@JohnPhilpin Thanks for the line that had a tip about the sale. I downloaded the app months ago. Maybe I'll try it more now.
