@TheDimPause Such an anti-climactic end to the series after that first Test. England’s batting apart from Root’s double-ton never lived up to its reputation. Even India’s No.8 batsman scored higher than all England batsmen except Root in the entire Test series.
@pratik It was very disappointing. I kept expecting a decent England batting partnership to emerge in every innings but it never did 😞. Some poor batting decisions, some poor team selections and they just couldn’t match India’s performance levels.
@TheDimPause Definitely missed a spinner in that third test where even Root took a fiver. But glad that none of the English players complained about the pitch as previous teams have.
@pratik They certainly shouldn’t be blaming the pitches. As is always said, it’s the same for both sides, and England even had the advantage of batting first in the last two Tests.
