@bradenslen I read an op-Ed in defense of the hedge funds that compares them to investigative journalists in the media. My first thought was, I don’t know a single investigative journalist who owns a yacht.
@pratik Weren't the hedge funds partly responsible for the economic crash of 2008? Maybe not the main culprit but in the mix of villains somehow? I might be wrong but still no sympathy.
@bradenslen Nope. You’re right. Definitely were responsible partly for 2008. I don’t see any long term benefits in what the Redditors doing but no sympathy for hedge funds either.
@pratik One person’s investigative journalist is another person’s muck raker. I guess as long as they can handle a truly free market in which everyone gets to play then they can have a place in it too.
@fgtech Yup. I had no complains against short sellers even if I sometimes begrudged their wealth and worldview. But them crying foul after they got the short end of the free market deserves no sympathy.
