I don’t like the culture of car sales, I do love my customers. I’ve been told by customers that I’m a refreshing change and not like any other car salesman (I’m not ruthless, I’m respectful of the customer as a person). That all being said, I still sold 7 cars this week.

@hawaiiboy Glad you bring honor to the profession. But there are far more dubious characters. Have met my share to hate buying a car from a dealership. I do wish outlets like Carvana become more popular.

@hawaiiboy That’s great. I’ve been lucky - the last two cars I’ve bought have been decent experiences. When we got my wife’s car 7 years ago we did the test drive from our home and negotiated the price (easily) by text messages. My car 4 years ago wasn’t quite as easy but there was nothing bad about the experience.

But now I’m facing buying a used car for our teenager to drive and I’m afraid that won’t be such a good or easy experience.

@pratik I sold my 14 year old car to Carvana. They didn’t offer the best price but I was busy and it was a super easy/great experience. I definitely plan to shop them for my teen’s car.

@ronguest I have learned to accept that convenience sometimes has a price. So I may be ok with not getting the best price. I recall giving umpteen people trial rides when I was selling my Mitsubishi Mirage 10 years ago and finally getting my price. But I don't have that kinda time anymore.
