After resisting for a long time, I’ve started archiving my emails and using the Inbox as a to-reply or to-take-action list. I had underestimated the feeling of seeing an empty inbox on my anxiety.

@pratik I have a personal rule. If I have to scroll on my laptop in my inbox there are too many emails. I archive ruthlessly. 🤣

@stevepbrady Same here. How do you deal with an email you’ve replied to but have asked a question and want to make sure it’s answered?

@pratik I use gmail so I'll snooze it for a few days and come back to it if I haven't heard.

@pratik I can’t recommend Spark highly enough for advanced features. If you’re willing to go with a subscription service for advanced email handling, SaneBox is fantastic.

@pratik I usually forward to Things for email I need to follow up on, but I think Outlook has integration with MS ToDo for this sort of task as well.

@gpittman I use Fastmail for my personal email and it's working out great. However, most of my email is for work (MS Office Exchange) and we use Outlook. We can't add unauthorized plugins unfortunately.

@pratik Yup. I use ToDoist that way. But it’s another app and now takes you away from email.
