Did the US military shoot down a literal UFO over Alaska a few days ago or was I dreaming? The headline looks real enough.

Funny that it happened a week after we started our X-Files rewatch. I’m primed for news like this.

@miljko I had the same thought myself; cylindrical and silver colour/texture. What the hell would that even be?

@miljko @pimoore probably a sat falling out of orbit. Or they were testing God’s Hammer, dropping metal rods as weapons.

@Archimage @miljko Ah maybe, never considered a satellite. I feel as though we’re going to hear more of these reports, now that we’re hyper aware of things floating up there.

@pimoore Marvel have a few movies in the works … and I’m pretty sure that the stories about cutting back on massive effects to ‘focus on story’, is freeing up a lot of cash to do one truly big effect movie .. the object in Alaska is clearly part of it.

@pimoore @Archimage That’s indeed the most likely answer. But between the Chinese balloon, AI developments, and my restarting X-files, some other interesting explanations seem to me a bit more salient, even if they’re wrong.

@miljko oh I don’t know. I think dropping killer rods on cities is interesting.
