@maique Glad to read you’re finally over the bugs, and partaking of caffeine intake again. ☕️
Funny you mention Fantastical, as I’ve tried to give it fair attention several times but I just don’t get what it provides me over Apple’s stock app.
@issimonwoods @maique The stock app has different calendar “groups”, so what does Fantastical provide for them instead?
@pimoore What groups are those? Are they made via Contacts? I can't find any group settings in the Calendar app itself.
@issimonwoods Sorry, groups is the wrong word. It’s just the different colour coded calendars that are available in the stock app, such as Home, Work, Appointments, etc. I’m genuinely curious what Fantastical does different and if I should give it another round.
@pimoore In F, with groups you can put calendars together and then filter your view to only show that group. For example:
Over time, as I am able to better schedule more of TIL I'll probably make new TIL calendars that will then be split into different TIL groups depending on their use.
@issimonwoods Ah gotcha, that’s definitely more granular and powerful than the stock app offers. Hmm, maybe I’ll give it another try after all then.
@pimoore It fits for me but I'd imagine it wouldn't matter much if date-keeping via calendar is specifically important to your work. Even without TIL, as a carer this makes my life easier in a way that matters.
@issimonwoods Fantastical is my go to calendar app, but I keep an eye on Calendar 366. I find it an extraordinarily powerful calendar app that does include calendar groups. Just as I think, “ it can’t do that,” I find out that it can.
