I don’t like this mentality. It stinks of wealthy people sneering at those who aren’t interested in breathlessly spending money.
@wearsmanyhats I understand how easy it is for us to become trapped by the mindset and language of our bubbles. It's a shame he so often uses limited, extreme language that does nothing to make his viewpoint any clearer; ironically, it's the kind of tabloid style language he used to whine about all of the time whenever big publications would quote his blog posts.
@wearsmanyhats @issimonwoods My opinion of Marco had already tanked before reading this about his latest shortsighted comments. Guess I won’t tell him I’m still using a 7+. 🙄
@issimonwoods @pcora Honestly I stopped listening to it before my opinion of Marco eroded, as it just became too droning and monotonous. I’ve drastically reduced the number of podcasts I subscribe to overall anyway, as I just don’t have the time in addition to loss of interest in many of them.
@pimoore I think that might happen with me as I get back into reading proper, as well as busier with life in general.
