This app uses the Web API from Spotify, which doesn't handle streaming itself. So you'll need either an official Spotify client open or a lighter weight alternative such as spotifyd.
Other than that, it works great.
@maique The only music listening experience more tweakable than CLI tools was Foobar2k back in the day.
@maique Foobar2000 is a highly customizable music player for the Windows platform that I used a great deal. Not sure if it has ports for any other platforms, but looking at their news on the homepage it’s still under development!
