I love not spending tons of time processing RAW by using Fujifilm X100V’s Film Simulations. These on-camera JPEGs look great and Fujifilm X Raw Studio makes slight tweaks using the original RAW a breeze. Definitely getting all value out of this fun camera.

@kurite If I get a camera it will definitely be a Fuji. How does this software and workflow hold up on an iPad, as I don’t have a Mac at home?

@pimoore I’ve done this. I think it works great because you can create new JPEGs on camera using different film sims and other adjustments like exposure. Connects via USB C for transfer & if you have lightning only the USB A camera adapter works with the included USB C to A cable. WiFi transfer, as always it seems, is slow and fickle. If you must process RAW, RAWpower app is great.

@kurite Great feedback, thanks a lot Ryan! I don’t see myself wanting to shoot in RAW format anyway, and most of the time I’d be using the B&W simulation. Good to know there’s still the option though.

@pimoore no problem!! take JPEG + RAW just in case -- RAW are needed to reprocess to get your desired JPEGs on camera. I use a 128 Gb SD Card so I don't have to care about capacity. Fujifilm cameras have a Film Simulation bracket mode so that could be extremely useful for B&W photography as film simulations are a bit more limited there. I think the color filtered film simulations for B&W make sense and match expectations, by the way.
