As a developer, on the Apple platform, my only wish for WWDC is to see an announcement about totally revamped documentation. That’s it.

@vincent This is how I feel about the iPad. I’m so happy with this Magic Keyboard but I will sell it if the OS isn’t given big improvements for things that are seen as fairly basic for actual computers.

@simonwoods which model iPad did you end up getting?

@pimoore I’ve got the 2020 11-inch. Had the Magic Keyboard for a few weeks now. I will happily keep the iPad itself but I currently need a reliable full computer, so the keyboard is on the chopping block.

@simonwoods I don’t see myself ever being interested in the MK, I much prefer an external keyboard and trackpad so I can raise the iPad higher on a stand. If I get an iPad, same as you have it will likely be the 11 inch model now, as that strikes me as a much better tablet size for mobile use. I’d be missing the XDR display, but I don’t watch or work with HDR content to justify the cost, and the reports of blooming concern me.

@pimoore I want a desktop set-up either way — at the very least a monitor — so I’m weighing up whether this machine can be both my laptop and tablet. There’s a good chance I won’t be able to change anything for a while anyway but when it is time I just want to be ready to act without hesitation.
