More lenticular cloud forms. Interestingly, these shapes often don’t trigger shape recognition the way some other clouds do. Nothing on land has such fragile layering. Perhaps a fancy sea dragon? If you see something in there, you might want to keep it to yourself.

@cliffordbeshers This is so cool. I would love to sit under a tree and watch these shapes change over time. (It's sad how horrible Micro.blog's compression is on photos like these☹️)

@gregmoore I was just noticing that the images aren't really showing full size, even when you follow the link. In my copious spare time, I will set up something to host them properly.

The interesting thing is that these shapes change very slowly, because they are caused by standing waves. It is a very different visual effect than big cunims or cirrus. One has to check back every half hour or so.

@cliffordbeshers Don't kill any of your time on my small gripe, I'm still enjoying them either way.

Where I am, we have massive cunims clouds all summer long. I've photographed so many over the eyars that I burned out on them.

@gregmoore Needs to be done regardless.

My second favorite thing about Florida is the summer afternoon thunderstorms. I went fishing once with a guy who showed me the norm was to watch the storms and move his boat to new areas to avoid them.

@pimoore Thank you, I think. Ever since you wrote this I've been looking for a browser extension to enlarge emojis and translate them to text. Old eyes and brain. Unfortunately, all the emoji extensions go the other direction.

@pimoore You didn't. It's been there for a while. My friend really wants this for his phone.

@cliffordbeshers Gotcha, that’s actually a really good idea given how pervasive emojis have become across most platforms these days.

@cliffordbeshers If you are on iOS you can try Zoom, under the accessibility section in settings. Allows you to zoom in on parts of the screen without enlarging all of the text all of the time.

@fgtech thank you, I seem to remeber trying that many versions ago and not liking it, but it helped this time.
