My promotion to Senior UX/UI Designer at work has been officially announced so marking the occasion with a new notebook.
@philbowell Congratulations on the orange notebook (Rhodia?) ... oh and the promotion I guess. That must be nice too...but that notebook!
@ChrisJWilson thanks Chris! Notebook is far more important 😂 Not Rhodia, Leuchtterm I’m afraid. It’s become my default since shipping Baron Figs became so insanely expensive.
@philbowell @chrisjwilson Congrats on the promotion, Phil! Leuchtturm is still a solid choice with the other options being more expensive. Maybe not as fountain pen friendly as Rhodia or B.F., but anything’s better than that other brand that has a burrowing underground creature in the name.
@pimoore @philbowell I prefer leuchttrum for gel pens over rhodia but there’s nothing like a rhodia for a fountain pen. Never used a Baron fig (and don’t intend to ever) so I can’t speak to them. Import prices was why I stopped getting field notes :(
@ChrisJWilson @philbowell Rhodia + fountain pen = writing on silk, it’s almost stupid how cathartic an experience it can be.
@pimoore sounds like I need to try a Rhodia, although my I lost my really nice fountain pen and now only have Lamy Safaris.
@philbowell Safari is a decent stand in, that’s what I have. It does the trick until I can get something nicer. Sorry to hear you lost your good pen, what was it you ended up loosing?
