The new big consent page blocking YouTube has certainly been helpful since I deleted my Google account; it has become easy to immediately close the tab and never choose to use it as a search engine.

If I ever need to use it I’ll do so separately from my personal data.

@simonwoods If they cookie you .. it seems just as good as if you had an account no? I have been wanting to delete my google account myself.

@terrygrier @simonwoods I’m in the process of de-Googling and will only be holding out on YouTube while I decide if I ever want to pursue putting content up there.
