@JohnBrady Do you think this is false: "Adding to the complexity, rich people frequently act like Down members, while people with tiny incomes can be fiercely loyal to the Up worldview"? Or merely annoying?

@JohnBrady I agree that complaining about poor people voting for policies that advance the interests of the rich is useless for advancing the sorts of policies we might want. But I don't think it's false that they do so.​

@JohnBrady I can remember in the 1960s when "consciousness-raising" meetings were held (especially with women, but also with minorities) to educate them about how "traditional values" were holding them back, even though they seemed normal.
