@desparoz Some sort of Lists functionality is on my wishlist as well :-)

I hadn’t realized Twitter’s implementation let you include people that you didn’t follow in lists, which seems like a good enhancement. (I had mostly been thinking about them as a way to group people so that when a new person came and asked e.g. “Who are the photographers here?”, I could then check my list and name all of the ones I followed.)

@smokey Yes, not having to follow an account in order to add it to Lists is a fairly key thing.

Further, the ability to have a private list means I can follow an account’s updates fairly anonymously.

Your use case is a good one. Simple but an elegant way of being able to have all the names in one place.

@desparoz since m.b is RSS based, couldn’t you just make an RSS Group of feeds to achieve that? Sure, an RSS client would need to be able to handle a timeline well but seems like it just a case of building the right apps.

@philbowell @desparoz That’s actually what I do. I’m in the process of “unfollowing” everyone from my micro.blog account and just following their JSON Feeds in my social reader. This allows me to categorize people into different “channels” or lists.
