Not sure why but I now have a Mastodon account… I think intrigue more than anything is behind it.
@philbowell Part of me wants to use mastodon...part of me thinks I could just use microblog and part of me thinks maybe I should just leave all this social media stuff behind.
@ChrisJWilson I'm right there with you. I initially thought I'll just use Micro.blog since it works with Mastodon and it's where my blog is. But the apps keep grabbing my attention and I'm not sure I like having mastodon people in my timeline here. Then I end up on a thought path of I'll just not do it at all. Ultimately decided I should give mastodon a try and then I can make an informed decision about using it.
@philbowell There's definitely a difference between MB and Mastodon (people, what people share, etc) and I do want to try some of those apps too! I might give it another go. I'm chrisjwilson@mastodon.social if you want to follow.
