We were going through things at my grandparents home after my grandmother’s funeral today, & I found what I believe is my great-grandfather’s Waltham pocketwatch
I never remember my grandfather wearing a pocket watch but my mom remembers her grandfather wearing one. It still runs and keeps time.
@jmreekes wonderful watch… I was set to inherit a pocket watch that has been passed through several generations of first borns, but it was sadly stolen from my parents home in a break in a few years ago. I often think about trying to find a replacement.
@philbowell I was able to unscrew them back of the pocket watch and searched the serial number on pocketwatchdatabase.com, and it was made around 1901
