Removed Twitter from my iPhone last night, not because of the Musk thing but because I can’t take all the culture wars. Talking to my counsellor last night I realised how much of a toll it was taking on my mental health. Not worth it at the moment.

@philbowell No question you made the right move. I’m loving the general vibe on m.b far more than anything I could ever curate on Twitter.

@philbowell FWIW: Among the many I know who have left Twitter, not one would go back. You couldn't pay us to return.

@marclafountain yeh, m.b is a much nicer atmosphere and the curation helps as well. If I hadn’t been using it I doubt it would’ve been such an easy decision to get Twitter off my phone.

@ayjay my account is still active, but I can’t see myself returning to it much like I’ve not been on Facebook for years after making a similar decisions nearly a decade ago.

@philbowell Good for you, and good for you.

Your milage may vary, but all the reasons I thought I had for not fully deleting my Twitter account were, in the end, found lacking.

The full catharsis came when I finalized the account deletion process.
