My monitor at work was recently changed from a 27” flat screen to a 34” curved screen with built in hub. I’ve been loving the extra screen space so of course I’ve been looking at the EOFY sales to get one for home.

Do I need to upgrade the 27” at home? No.

Do I want to? Absolutely. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@peterw I used to rock a 27” 2K and 24” 1080p dual screen setup then I got a 32” 4K and now I have just one with 8 apps, six desktop widgets, and the dock visible at all times. Soooooo much better. Of course, my old 27” is on my other Mac and with Universal Control and my iPad below my 32” it’s like I have a 3-display setup LOLZ.

@tylerknowsnothing what 32” 4K did you buy? I’m undecided between going 32 or 34.

@peterw I got the Lenovo ThinkVision T32p-20 a few years ago and it’s wonderful. People complain about how “fuzzy” 4K is on the Mac when it scales natively to 5K, but I don’t have that issue with this monitor. It wasn’t terribly expensive, either. I spent about $330 at the time. I’m sure there are newer models now.

@tylerknowsnothing my 27” at home is a 4K LG and I’ve never noticed any fuzziness. Having just read a bunch of monitor reviews I think, like with most things, people just go looking for something to complain about.

@peterw Indeed. One of the features of the Lenovo I really like is that it has USB-C PD up to like 40W, I think. Plug my SteamDeck into it and it works like a dock. Quite nice. It’s handy for me, at least :D
