@ptrck (Spoiler alert) That gag right near the end was a real show-stealer. Most people kinda knew that there would be a Klingon appearance at some point, but the way that it was handled was perfect comedic timing.

Then in the last few seconds when Spock came back on the bridge after the offscreen diplomatic bloodwine toast and…collapsed into his seat was another subtle but funny moment. We knew he had taken down another Klingon commander with his Vulcan/human alcohol tolerance and was trying to hide it upon his return to the bridge. All this lasted a second and was completely unsaid, but an excellent touch. .

@ptrck The other scene that was handled well was the serious moment between La’an and Kirk when she revealed that something had happened between her and branch-line Kirk (to borrow Derek Parfit’s expression) in Toronto in the alternate timeline.

@chrisfoley @ptrck the way Spock came on the bridge and plonked down in his seat during the voiceover was a hilarious subtle nod to the earlier Klingon episode. The episode was such a delight.

@meandering That scene is a great example why SNW is in such a good place right now. It was a classic comedic moment that took only a second BUT you had to be in on the backstory to notice it and know why it was funny.
