@petebrown Uncomfortable ghosts of difficult work has made me a big fan of archiving or outright deleting old work notes and emails. The whole, “we may need this someday,” idea has never born out. If jobs are allowed to keep our work made on their time, they can keep the problems too.

@gregmoore Yeah, I know people who have entire careers' worth of notes and emails squirreled away in intricate folder structures that they're constantly tending to, but they can never point to a time when they've actually been able to use it for anything. They usually come back with the hypothetical about how they might need to go back to it to prove some point or CYA, but I feel like if you're at the point on a job where you have to pull out a years-old email or note to justify something, you've got bigger problems.
