I’m quite liking Apple’s Journal app. I know Day One is better, but as it goes for fast documentation of things I’ve been doing during the day, it’s very handy. I look forward to seeing how it develops. 💻

@gr36 Even saving something as simple as the documentation that I went to the cinema, then to a burger place on Sunday. It was a nice few hours out with my youngest, there to save with minimal fuss.

@gr36 I saw that, you’ve pretty much nailed my experience with it. Log dog walk, mention what audiobook I was listening to. Log podcast, write brief thoughts on it. Maybe save the music I was listening to.

Have to admit I was well impressed with ‘Visited cinema, ate in SuperMacs’ that was there all ready to go.

@greg quick shoutout to say your blog is looking 🔥 🔥 🔥 right now! I usually access it via RSS, but just popped on via the desktop and it just looks fantastic. Loving the snow in the header.

@BenSouthwood It’s great that the Journal app works for you. But it’s even better the other apps can also access the same journaling suggestions

@ravi Absolutely. I’ve used Day One a lot, but at some point I always fall out of the habit. I would subscribe if I had the money to spare and knew I’d use it regularly, but I never do.

@BenSouthwood But! But! It doesn’t support the 57 custom automation workflows and 213 app integrations that I have spent hundreds of hours tweaking!! How can it be any good?! 🤣

@BenSouthwood no no no no no. I tried it for maybe 30 seconds, then I decided to stay with Day One. No more: Every day another tool for something you already found the best one... :)

@BenSouthwood if it's any easier to get paper book prints from then I'm interested

@petebrown If it’s simple, it must be wrong. ;-)

@ner3y I have to admit, I dismissed it initially but can see what they’re trying to do now. :-)

@warner I never ordered a print book from Day One. Are they tricky to get then?

@BenSouthwood to get your 'blook' printed (a buzzword which was lost when the concept of printing blogs didn't catch on), it's $85 if you're out of the US
