I used Docker to spin up a local WordPress development environment to work on Cypress. This way I can just save my work locally and test builds rather than needing to deploy those changes. I think I’ll write up how I did this soon. Oh! The theme is ready to be released. I’m just working... cdevroe.com

@cdevroe Docker seems to be the way the world is going and it looks super easy. But I've not yet wrapped my head around it. I look forward to your write-up. :)

@peroty I'm far from an expert, but I have used it for several projects. Julia Evans has a nice write-up on using Docker Compose which is what I also use. It makes it much simpler. I'll be sure to write it up soon.

@peroty I'll be publishing the Docker post today. Again, it isn't much... but it does describe how simple it is to use. I highly recommend diving in and giving it a try.

@cdevroe I just saw and look forward to reading. I'm at the stage with Docker the more I read different people's perspectives on using it, the more it makes sense.

@peroty Mapping the local filesystem to Docker. Love it. That's going to be very helpful. 🤯

See? I learned something already. Thank you for the write-up.

I’m glad you were able to get some value from it. That small thing cuts down on so much.
