💸 One should support local businesses, and I try to. But I just paid €70.40 for something that would cost €47.72 on Amazon, and would be delivered tomorrow.

@pcora @maique I'm glad bookstores here in Berlin can compete with Amazon. There's a fixed book price law in Germany that allows smaller shops to do so. There’s a bookstore on every corner here.

@pcora I don’t even order from Amazon, most stuff bought online is purchased directly from the manufacturer’s site, if available. This time the maker has an Amazon store, so I would even get shipping for free. I did buy it locally, because I could afford it this month. Next month? Who knows?

@otaviocc That’s great! Books, specifically, are usually from the Kobo shop. I get maybe two a year in physical format, and those are always from local shops.
