@jarrod Unexpected for me as well, actually. I got asked about subscriptions, at about the same time I was wondering if I could live without Fiery Feeds' "Swipe to Mark as Read" feature. And saw @pcora mentioning RSS Club. Seemed like everything as about RSS..

@maique The RSS Club is mostly what caught my attention. It’s a fun idea, but would I want to hide any writing from my website?

@jarrod I thought about this one mostly from a learning perspective. How to go about implementing it? I, of all people, have no idea what I'd post about secretly, since I share every little thing that happens anyway... 😅

@maique Haha good point. The implementation details are good to know. If the same can be accomplished with Hugo/MB, that’d be great. I haven’t really looked into the front matter capabilities of MB.

@jarrod They can, yes! @pcora has this working on his blog, and was kind enough to share how he did it. I just need time to get to it by now...

@jarrod For me, it's more for like, "sharing privately" some posts, like this one with my friends at micro.blog or that subscribe to my rss feed. But keep such posts, away from the occasional person that lands into my website.

@pcora That’s a good explanation and use case. I’m bookmarking for future consideration. 👍 How did you exclude #RSSonly from the list of categories at the top of your Archive page?

@jarrod I put an if condition to not print the category name if it's RSSOnly: it's on the list.html

@pcora cool. That looks a bit like how I set it up on my blog. Only the posts I choose (category 'blog') are shown in my main/published rss feed and website/archive. All the 'micro' ones are only visible by permalink.

@atog yep, that is exactly it! but I keep them in the RSS. So they have a permalink and display to Micro.blog followers. :)

@skoobz Yay! Looking forward to it.

Today was, again, a lost day for this. Work got in the way, and we’re meeting friends for dinner, so…
