@cdevroe Agreed. Is it also the first day of the week view of a calendar? In Europe it usually is, but I think in North America it usually is Sunday.

@renevanbelzen I change that setting every time in Calendar. Monday first.

@cdevroe that is why Saturday and Sunday is called the week end … yet another example of America changing something for no good reason and making it worse / harder to grok the logic.

@cdevroe Yes, yes it is. Drives me mad that I have to change that so often on calendar apps.

@JohnPhilpin The US can be blamed for an enormous number of atrocities... but I believe Sunday being the first day of the week lies solely with the Hebrews. I don't actually know that but I think that. Research might prove otherwise.

@maique I also change it. But some people prefer Sunday as the first day. I cannot wrap my head around why.

@cdevroe 🤔 I always considered Sunday the first day of the week. Now everyone here discussing it is making doubt my choices..

@cdevroe oh interesting - yes the Sabbath is a Saturday .. so makes sense.

What doesn’t make sense is why the US would adopt this calendar system?

@cdevroe 🤣I might. I need to train my head though. Because all my life, I have been seeing calendars where it starts on a Sunday. It will take sometime.
