This morning, I had 47 unread emails in my inbox. As of now, I am down to one. Progress for sure, but I am reminded of how much I hate email as a form of communication. An open channel to my todo list that anyone can add to? Yuck!

@cleverdevil It’s an open channel to your task list only if you allow that to happen. If you can reply, “I’m terribly sorry. Don’t have the bandwidth,” you’ll often find they’ll go away. This is predicated on the possibility you can push back. Sometimes we can’t. Such is life.
@paulcraig901 even having to reply in that way is an action to perform, but you are definitely right that getting in the right mindset is critical when considering how to process email.
@cleverdevil You are right. Sometimes merely ignoring the email makes it go away. If there’s a follow up, then it’s probably something that must be done. I share your frustrations on a daily basis.
