The reality that my child is graduating high school in a week and moving out in a few months is hitting hard this morning. Cannot stop crying. Iā€™m so proud of her. How do I rewind the years.

@patrickrhone @annie We're not quite there yet, but it's only a couple of hills away into the distance... But yeh... It's already something I think about often šŸ˜¢

@patrickrhone @Annie I am not as close as I am still 3 years to go for my oldest but then ever 3 years after another one will be gone. It dawned on me a couple weeks back in 9 years it will just be my wife and I in the house. Strange to say as 9 years seems like a long time until I think of how old each of my kids are and think of how fast the time went by.

@ericmwalk @patrickrhone @Annie I have had all three of my girls move out for school. Two have already made their way back home and number 3 still has a few years of school left but is back every summer.

@Annie šŸ„ŗ I'm trying to prepare myself for this in a few short years (oldest is almost 17) but I don't think we really can until the reality hits.

@Annie that was our family last year. Not gonna lie ā€” it was very hard. But it does get better, and it helped me to remember this is what success is. šŸ˜¬

@Annie The first of mine to leave was my son and that hit the hardest. Wasn't made easier by the fact that he left for the military three months before 9/11. When my girls left a couple of years later, it was moderately easier. These days it's my grandchildren aging out and going to college and the work force. Time flies.

@jomalo This makes me feel so hopeful. I hope mine will come back often (or move back altogether).

@jthingelstad good perspective. I keep reminding myself that this is kind of the whole point of parenting... šŸ˜

@amerpie Oof that would tough to have a child to into the military, anytime, but especially then.
