@patrickrhone Thanks for this. I'll be looking up each of the companies mentioned.

@JohnBrady I can vouch and own products made by many of them. Own three pairs of Red Wings that I've had for years and years. Buck Mason are about the only tees I wear.

@patrickrhone I’ve been trying to figure out what Red Wings are but every link in the search is for Detroit Redwings apparel…

@tinyroofnail www.redwingshoes.com (butting in for @patrickrhone; I looked them up myself just a while ago.)

@JohnBrady @patrickrhone Thanks for the link. Meghan told me what they are — after she rolled her eyes at me. Did either of you read the NYT piece on “quality” from the founder of Patagonia?

@patrickrhone I have a few pairs of Red Wings…after years I still don’t think they’re broken in. I certainly need to wear them more.

The home store sale is so nice, though!

@tinyroofnail Boots made in Red Wing, MN. Still family run. In fact, the current President of the company is a friend and neighbor of ours and the great granddaughter of the founder. Fantastic company.
