@patrickrhone you still have that "how bear is your air" MacBook?!

@patrickrhone you will haveto let me know how that goes. I have my MacBook Air that I still use from time to time but lately my son has been using for school. I didn't even realize you could replace the battery so this is all very interesting.

@patrickrhone When I changed mine a couple of years ago the fan was quite dirty. Might allow some extra time to pull it out and air dust it.

@ericmwalk Yep. Upgrade the SSD to if you want. Other World Computing is my go to source.

@hjertnes Nope. This is from the last 11 inch that they made. I upgraded to this one the day they discontinued the 11 inch.

@patrickrhone all of this is blowing my mind and kind of sad to say as I use to be really computer savy. I really liked that laptop and would be good if I can replace a couple parts as it is now great for my kids. If only my work computer was a Mac 😊

@patrickrhone out of curiosity what size of SSD did you install? I am thinking larger for this go round but don't want to get too crazy maybe.

@patrickrhone I'd be really happy if Apple would make another similar MacBook now that they're moving away from Intel.

@patrickrhone Companies with products that have rechargeable batteries, ie Apple, can ship their products to individuals in Hawaii - so I can order a laptop from Apple. However, individuals cannot order a (replacement) battery to be sent to them.
