Oh hey.. double update day for 🐸 Lillihub. Is that a checkmark I see on PWA? I believe it is 🤩

Super minimal right now, but you should be able to “install” Lillihub if your device supports it. Hopefully it works for IPhone users. Let me know if it doesn’t

@heyloura I have been using it as a web app via a shortcut on my iPhone. How does the PWA help on the phone? It works great in Sonoma now.

@heyloura Quick Q - the main timeline tab has ~20 posts per page, but the Conversation tab has a lot fewer. Any reason?

@pratik That will vary based on what's going on in your M.b timeline. Basically Lillihub get's what you see in the main web app from the API. A mix of posts and mentions.

Lillihub asks the API for a list of 60 items and then takes that list and separates it. if you are looking at the timeline page it discards all the mentions. If you are looking at the conversations page it gets rid of the posts. Also, the conversation page only shows a conversation once. So if the people you follow are all commenting on the same conversation you'll see even less.

That's also the reason when you move page to page on Conversations you might see the same one pop up again, that conversation was referred to in an earlier set of items.

@heyloura I have added Lillihub on my iPhone Home Screen and it is acting like an app. It’s really good. Thanks for making it.

@aeryn @heyloura The only small problem I’m having is when I’m creating a post, the usual autocorrect, auto-capitalising etc is all turned off (but not in this reply box).

@heyloura Kinda. Good to know about the API limitation. How often can you request it? Every hour? But yes, I have noticed what you mentioned - commenting on the same post. I was planning on writing on how Lillihub makes the timeline seem less frenetic

@pratik I call the post API each time a page is loaded. I don't think there is a hard limitation (I could be wrong) but I also don't want to call it more than I need.

Do you find the variation in # of timeline versus conversation posts noticable?

I have some ideas on the conversation page to get rid of the duplicates as you paginate. And it's high on my list to fix ☺️

@heyloura I asked coz if there are more posts per page on the Conversation tab, we are less likely to see duplicate ones. We usually see duplicate ones once we click on next page. I understand why this happens tho. But glad to hear you are also thinking about it ☺️ The main Posts timeline tab is fine in that regard.
