Is it just me or does this not seem right? When iPad is not on a charger is does a nose dive to 0%. During the last several hours the activity graph is almost non-existent the iPad had it's screen off and no apps running 🤔 I think that means it's time for a new iPad.

@EddieHinkle If that's what you need it to mean.

@rmcrob It just seems like my iPad is unusable. I charge it up to full capacity, use it for an hour or so. I close the lid and set it on the table. When I pick it up the next day it’s completely dead and unusable until I plug it in to charge it. According to that graph it’ll die within 6 hours if it’s in standby mode. I could take it in to the Genius Bar and see how much a battery replace would cost? or I can use Apple GiveBack and get $250 off a new iPad. A new iPad is around $800 so that’s $550 for a new iPad versus …. maybe ~$200 for a new battery (spit-ball guess)? Not tied to buying a new iPad but a 6 hour no-use battery doesn’t seem feasible.

@EddieHinkle Depending on the iPad age, if it's out of warranty personally I'd go with 3rd party battery replacement. They are 1/3 the price and work just as well.

@EddieHinkle Just wait until the Apple event at the end of the month if you want to buy a new one.

@oyam Yeah it’s probably 2-3 years old. Definitely out of warranty. It’s the original iPad Pro.
