Maru the Shiba is much better today. He got a bolus of IV fluid with some various meds under his skin, at the vet’s, and that kept him hydrated while the gastritis calmed down. Had a normal poo this morning, after finally eating last night. A relief! 😮💨
@onewildcrow thanks! He's at day service today, and he was sooo happy to see the pickup van, so we imagine he's going to be fine!

@rickcogley the biggest gut punch of my life was when one of our ferrets died in my arms of a heart attack. Totally out of the blue the little guy started twitching and cramping and then died. It wrecked me for weeks. 😭
@AlexKucera oh, no, that's terrible! I just couldn't. Maru day 1: on our 1st walk, he slipped his collar and ran INTO traffic, running between cars like it was a game. I thought I was going to keel over. Some kind soul helped catch him, but my heart still races when I pass that area...
