@klandwehr In my grownup years I've listened to a lot of Folk, especially to Woody Guthrie and Harry McClintock. I didn't know that The Highwaymen had a cover of Big Rock Candy Mountain.
@odd to be honest I am not sure this was the version of Big Rock Candy Mountain I listen to when I was young, but I do remember the song.
@klandwehr Harry McClintock recorded it in the early 30s, but in the late 50s or so, Burl Ives was known for it. I suppose that’s the version you remember. I think personally Haywire Mac’s version is the best. It was also used in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou.
