I thought about reading some good romance novels, and wondered if anyone has any recommendations? (I’ve never read any).

@odd some good ones on this list of authors (plus other genres). Rebecca York is an expert.

@cheribaker Thanks for the tip! I just saw that one. If you remember more, feel free to share. It can be from any time period really, but I do appreciate modern-ish language. PS: Not a big fan of fantasy, but I might be surprised. Cc: @Archimage

@Archimage Yes, haha, but I’m trying to get back into reading, and I thought; why not romance for once? 🥰

@odd I’ve yet to read a romance novel, but I have participated on panels. Go figure. Maybe I should write one-after the trilogy I’m working on.

@odd I've been reading a lot of them lately, as I'm working on a romance story myself. Most of the ones I've been reading are sapphic, and one I can highly recommend is "One Last Stop" by Casey McQuiston. I rather enjoyed it. On the more traditional (but geeky) M/F side, I'll plug "Role Playing" by Cathy Yardley.

Both are modern day. "One Last Stop" has some mild sci fi/fantasy aspects. "Role Playing" has older folks and MMOs and geekness.

I can recommend plenty more as well!

@goblingumbo Thanks a lot! I ended up getting two books by the author @cheribaker suggested, and adding this gives me plenty of material for now, but I don’t mind getting more suggestions. 😃👍

@odd You're welcome! Good luck getting back into reading again. That's what I've been trying to do myself, I used to be such an avid reader. I miss it.

@odd Oh I could say so much on this! Emily Henry seems to have crossover appeal so going with her work is probably a great choice. When you're ready for more, this podcast episode may prove helpful.
